Jim Reed founded Reed Financial Services in 1984 and is currently President. He holds a number of financial designations including Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and Personal Financial Specialist (PFS). His vast knowledge of both financial planning and investment management coupled with his mission of “helping others achieve their goals and dreams” is exhibited throughout the culture at Reed Financial Services. He has worked for over 30 years to create a firm culture that helps investors seeking to accumulate assets but with a focus on both good returns, capital preservation, and high quality service.

Jim works with a broad range of individuals including pre-retirees, those living in retirement, professionals, doctors, multi-generational families, and business owners providing financial planning, estate planning, retirement planning, investment management, business succession planning and charitable planning.

Jim speaks on estate planning, financial planning and investment-related topics to retirees, corporations, charitable foundations, attorneys, and accountants.

Jim believes in giving back his time, talent and monies to help others. Reed Financial Services donates it’s time to help different charities during the year. Jim has also helped clients match their interest and skills with organizations in need.

Personally Jim spent 15 years on the Board and Chairman of Trustees of Our Lady of the Wayside (OLW), an organization that cares for over 400 disadvantage individuals in 75 Group Homes.

Most recently he has begun to give back to his Alma Mater, Kansas State. He is on the College of Business Administration, Dean’s Advisory Board at Kansas State University and on the Financial Planning Advisory Board in the College of Human Ecology also at KSU. He provides professional development and real life experiences to students through seminars and classroom attendances while on campus. He is also working to find meaningful summer internships for students and services as a mentor to several.

He works with the Development Office at Kansas State to raise monies to help students with scholarships. Personally, Jim and his wife, Marsha, fund 10 – 15 scholarships annually.

Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Kansas State University and an MBA from the University of Michigan. He belongs to the Financial Planners Association, The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Financial Services Institute.

Amanda Lisachenko, CFP is Chief Operating Officer for Reed Financial Services. Amanda is a forward thinker who has the ability to get clients to see the bigger financial picture, explain complex issues in simple to understand terms while helping identify the key issues or concerns most important to clients. Her many years of leading the investment management research for Reed Financial Services allows her to know our Fund Managers and to make sound investment decisions for clients. Her knowledge of both investments and market conditions allow her to reassure clients in difficult times through either written communications or personal contact.

Amanda has also implemented many technology enhancements and changes to insure clients of Reed Financial Services have easy access to their investment result and that the staff has software available to meet client requests on a timely basis.

Amanda has spent her professional career working with Reed Financial Services, starting in 1998. Amanda works with a broad range of individuals including pre-retirees, those living in retirement, professionals, doctors, multi-generational families, and business owners providing financial planning, estate planning, retirement planning, investment management, business succession planning and charitable planning.

Amanda was recently identified in Crain’s ‘Who to Watch’ feature of those up-and-comers and innovators in Northeast Ohio’s finance sector.

Amanda holds the CFP designation — Certified Financial Planner. She received her Bachelor of Science in Family Financial Management from The Ohio State University and is currently a member of the Financial Planners Association and Red Key Network. She also is a 2015 graduate of the Leadership Geauga Program.
